Since Kendal’s world seems to revolve currently around watching Mickey Mouse Clubhouse (Milk, T – MikMe), I decided Minnie Mouse was the perfect theme for Kendal’s 2nd birthday. Of course, once I got the theme I went all all out – Minnie Mouse everything.
Party planning began with the search all-over creation for pink polka dot paper. After finally tracking it down at a store near Melissa in TN – which she was so nice to pick up and mail to me, plans started to take shape. I designed the invites, planned the decorations, shopped for the goodie bags and made 30 pairs of mouse ears. By the way, party planning for Kendal’s March 21st birthday starts in January!
On the day of the party, everything was set and adorable (if I do say so myself). Unfortuantly, Kendal took a slip and fall about an hour before the party, and I think the fall changed her mood for the day. Once people began arriving, she was uber clingy. Poor girl, her big birthday bash was too overwhelming for her. I know she loves to play with other kids (or at least near them), so I had high hopes, but she wouldn’t let us put her down the whole party. The good news is that all of the guests had fun!
