Words are Coming Left and Right Now February 1, 2010
Everyone said that all at once Kendal’s language skills would come together and her vocabulary would explode – we are there now. She is adding words to her vocabulary daily now, and for the first time if I ask her to say something she will try to say it. Her words are still single syllable for the most part (or repeating the same syllable).
Some of my favorite things she says are
- Losh (Lotion) – when we change her diaper, she scraches the back of her knee and asks for “losh”
- Bach (Paci) – Kendal only gets her paci when she sleeps, but if she can’t find it in her bed she asksĀ for it
- Go Gators – anything football or Gators – even Bobby’s cell phone ring – everything is Go Gators and chomp-chomp
- MMM (milk), Cooch (couch), T (TV) – this trio means she is ready for milk, and watching TV on the couch!
- Ride – Kendal loves to ride. When we get out of the car, she asks for “ride” AKA her stroller.
