Kendal continues to be adorable and her personalty continues to grow! Here are some various pictures from late August and September.

  1. Sticker Baby – ever wonder what to do with all of those return address labels that come in the mail? I left Kendal go crazy stickering herself! (8/27)
  2. Bella’s Baby Bib – Poor Bella, we put Kendal’s bib on Bella, and Kendal thought it was hysterical. To this day if there is a bib laying around she will chase after the dogs trying to put it on one of them. (8/29)
  3. Gator Gal – Check out Kendal wearing her fav hat cheering on her team! (9/5)
  4. Yum… Corn on the Cob (9/7)
  5. Splash Pad – toward the end of Sept we went to the splash pad for what will probably be the last time for the season with Stefanie + Kate and Julie + Christopher. (9/24)
  6. Kendal and her Pals – Kendal loves her pals, and she loves to make them sit right next to her on the floor, the couch, wherever. (9/26)
  7. Coloring – I started Kendal with these funny little crayons for toddlers. The are little cone-shaped plastic characters that hold the crayons. They are supposed to be easier, but Kendal couldn’t really hold them. So, I moved to real crayons and now she LOVES to color. I bought triangular crayons (so they don’t roll away) and she always wants to color. She gets really into her “work.” (9/27)

Sesame Street Live October 12, 2009Print This Post

I took Kendal to her first live stage show today – SesameStreet Live! Months ago, I received an email from the UCF arena announcing a group rate of $10 per person (instead of almost $30 p/p). Since it sounded like fun, I offered to “host” a playgroup to go. We had a huge turn out 27 people (about a dozen moms and their kids).

Lori and Morgan rode with us out to UCF and we had a nice trip catching up. From the moment we walked into the arena, Kendal was glued to the stage (the show had just begun). For the first half of the show, she sat motionless in my lap – eyes glued on Elmo and friends. The second half she was ready to dance! It was a fun show!

Bella Bella Bella October 11, 2009Print This Post

Much to Bella’s unhappiness, Kendal learned a new word – Bella!

I have been trying to teach Kendal to say Bella for a long time. I even tried La-La because I thought that would be easier for her to say, but instead of trying she would just pant (her sign for dog). But suddenly out of the blue she busted out with Bella.

Once she said it, she chased poor Bella around the couch (again and again) calling her name Bella, Bella, Bella. Bobby and I couldn’t stop laughing. Bella kept trying to hide behind our feet, but K loves her Bella!
