Kendal’s First Easter Egg Hunt
The Lake Mary Moms Club had its annual Spring Fling today, it was a pot luck dinner at Magnolia park with an Easter Egg Hunt. We were so lucky with the weather, the day started off stormy and suddenly about 3 pm it cleared up, but the time we left the house it was beautiful.
The babies were so cute picking up their eggs. I forgot Kendal’s Easter basket, so she had to make due with my camera bag.
Garage Sale Extravaganza!!! March 29, 2009
Liny & I have been talking about having a garage sale forever. Saturday, we finally did it. It was a ton work, but we had a great time and the weather was perfect. Best of all, we cleared out a LOT of stuff and made some good cash ~ more than $1,000 between the two of us! Whooo hoooo! It was crazy, other than Liny’s $100 table, the most expensive thing we sold was a $30 vacuum cleaner – so we sold LOTS of stuff!
Friday night we spent the night at Aunt Liny & Uncle Bry’s so we didn’t have to get up any earlier than necessary. And Ashley Maldando stopped by with a birthday gift for Miss K. It was so good to see Ash – I miss seeing her more often! Hopefully, we can see her more!
Thank You to All! March 25, 2009
WOW! Kendal got everything a baby could want for her first birthday and more! Thank you to everyone! After everyone left the party, and Kendal took a nap, Bobby and I gathered all of the presents around Kendal and sat down to open them. She was so cute – she got more and more excited as we went through them. I wish we had videoed it to capture every moment, but at least we took lots of pictures with her loot! Thank you to all!
A new view for Kendal March 22, 2009
Since Kendal is now a year old (and at least 20 lbs), her car seat can be turned around to be forward-facing. She has been using her Britax seat in my car rear-facing, but I turned in around this morning. Jen and I took her for a ride and she seemed to enjoy the new view. After, we decided to get one last picture of Kendal in her Chicco car seat in Jen’s car before I switched it out for her other Brtiax seat.
Kendal’s First Birthday Party~
What I originally dreamed would be a small, intimate party ended up a big party. And if I am going to do a big party, well, I might as well go over the top – since that’s what I do. So, pink & brown cupcakes filled ever corner of the house from a 25-foot, handmade banner to the perfect pull-a-part, cupcake, cake decorated to match – everything was made to match and made with love. I had so much fun planning her party, and other than Kendal not liking her cake, she seemed to have a great time – once her shyness wore off.
The guest list was complete with all of Kendal’s friends, and while a couple of families had to cancel at the last minute due to sickness – we had a great turn out. The best surprise of all – Stef & George surprised me by showing up for the party! Stef schemed with Liny & Bobby, but I was clueless. What a great surprise!

In the goody bags, the girls received picture frames with flowers and their initials, a Disney book & Cupcake hair bows. The boys received Cars socks instead of bows & frames with Mickey Mouse. I really hope everyone enjoyed everything! They were fun to make!
Months of preparation, over in just two hours. But I will remember it forever – and we have plently of pictures to prove it!
