4 Vials of Blood!!! February 5, 2009
When we took Kendal for her 9-month appt, they did a routine iron test. The results came back with a low iron count, so the Dr had me start giving her daily iron supplements. One month later, we went back for a retest, and she was still low. So, the Dr ordered a blood series.
Since she had a cold, I waited a little while for the blood test continuing to give K iron supplements and iron rich foods. At Dr Murray’s suggestion, Kendal has even started eating fillet mignon! (What a connoisseur!)
Today, I took Kendal for her blood test. It was terrible! They had to fill 4 vials of blood! And there wasn’t enough blood in the first arm, so they had to stick both arms. Poor K just cried and cried. It was all I could do not to cry myself! The lab said the Dr should have the results Monday, so I guess we will see…
