We love to take a ride around the neighborhood with Daddy on his new golf cart. Today, we stopped by the Magnolia Park on our ride. It was such a pretty day. After the park, we met up with the Wesleys to tour some real estate and later diner at Amigos. It was a nice Saturday.

A late Christmas gift for Kendal arrive from the Hennigans today, and Kendal loves it! I have been meaning to get her some stacking rings, and this is one of the cutest ones I have seen. She doesn’t understand stacking, but she sure likes to dump them on the floor! And as usual, she was taken with the card too! Thanks Kate & Liam!

Kendal’s First Words Were… Go Gators! January 8, 2009Print This Post

Alight, I know I sound like that crazy mom, I wouldn’t believe it myself if I hadn’t heard it myself three times! Kendal said, “Go Gators.”

Game day morning, Kendal and I were hanging out in bed and Bobby put on his Gator polo for work. I cheered Da na na na na. He smiled, and Kendal said, “Go Gators.”

I looked at Bobby and asked him if she really just said that. So, I said it again Da na na na na… And she said it again, “Go Gators.”  And then again, a third time.

I know, I know, it sounds nuts, but she said it. Well, kind of. I mean it was still a baby’s version, but the sounds and syllables were there. So, after Mama, Kendal picked Go Gators!

The Luckiest Baby in the World January 4, 2009Print This Post

Our across-the-street neighbors have the cutest, most well-behaved, four children. The oldest (I think she is 10), Madeline, recently played Tiny Tim in the Nutcracker at Lyman HS, which Bobby and I went to see. She was adorable!

The other day their Mom, Jen, told Bobby that Tyler (their second child, who is 8, I think) told her, “Kendal is the luckiest baby. She has two dogs, gets all of the attention and has a golf cart!”

Happy New Year! January 3, 2009Print This Post

2008 was amazing! Because it was the year of Kendal, it was one of the best years ever. For that reason, I was actually a little sad to ring in the new year. The new year means my little baby is getting big! I can’t believe she will be 1 in just a few short months. She is so much fun these days, I want to keep her this size. She is so snuggly and since she still doesn’t crawl much she is nice and stationary. I know the stationary days are numbered…

For our second New Year’s Eve, we spent the evening with the Bitman family. Since Nathan is so little, we had take out at the Bitman’s and then just hung out. There was nothing good on TV, so we really just vegged and chatted. At 11:30, Bobby and I decided we were tired so we put Kendal in the car and made it home with 5 mins to spare. We watched the ball drop with K, and then I was in bed asleep by 12:05.

Wishing everyone all of the best for 2009! Happy New Year!

Sea World January 2, 2009Print This Post

In addition to the tickets to Disney, my Christmas gift from Mom & Dad was a set of annual passes to Sea World. So, Friday morning we headed out to Sea World. It was an overcast day and a bit cool, but really nice. We got to the park at about 9:30. Since we have passes, it was really nice because we didn’t feel compelled to see everything this visit. So, we took our time and headed home about 1:30.

I think Kendal’s favorite thing for the day was the Sea World map, which she held on to most of the day. But she was also very interested in the dolphins, manatee, etc when we look at them in the underwater tanks. It was a fun way to spend Bobby’s day off. We can’t wait until we go back again.
