Whooo hoooo – What a game last night! 31 – 20 the Gators beat Alamaba to become the 2008 SEC Champs and are on their way to the National Championship! Go Gators!

Kendal and I watched the game at home, and she loved all of Mommy’s cheering. Daddy is in Seattle for a Patriots game later today and Mimi and Papa Jack went with Liny & Bry to Alanta to go to the game. So, it has been a quiet weekend. Tongiht Kendal and I are going to meet up with some of our neighborhood friends to walk in the neighborhood Christmas parade.

Kendal is always busy these days. She isn’t crawling yet, but she will be soon! In the last couple of weeks, Kendal is all of the sudden expressing a disire to be on the go, rocking and rolling every chance she gets. And she often wants to stand up. Recently, I put the legs on her musical table. When I first got it out she was content to sit on the floor with it in front of her and play, but since she always wants to stand and reach for things now I put the legs on the table. She loves to stand up and bang on the table.

Speaking of banging, she loves to take her paci out and bang on things with it. We keep 3-4 pacis in her crib at a time (so she can find one on her own in the middle of the night) and sometimes when I  go to get her after a nap she will have one paci in her mouth and be using another to bang on her bed.

Another thing she is doing now is raising things above her head. She loves to hold books, paper, blankets, etc up above her head. She presses them against her forhead and then raises them up high. Last night, I watched her play with a small book and sun bath toy, she would hold one in each hand alternating between banging them against each other and holding them above her head. It kept her ocupied for about a half hour!

Kendal tricked us a couple of weeks ago, we thought she was starting to talk! For two days, every time she wanted something or I left the room, she said, “Mama Mama Mama.” We really thought she was talking to us, but it only lasted two days and now she is back to babbling… So, we are not sure she was talking.

Kendal is all about snacks now a days. She now regularly gets to eat puffs and yogaurt melts and she thinks they are excellent. I think they are great too because I can use them to distract her or appease her momentarily. For example, we were at Target the other day and it was getting close to lunch time. All of the sudden she started melting down – big time. I managed to leave her pacifier in the car, but I remembered I had a bag of snacks in my cart that I was purchasing. I whipped those snacks out and we were back to happy in no time. Ahhhh I love snacks! And she is getting the hang of feeding herself. I can now put some snacks on her highchair tray and she will pick them up and eat them all by herself.

Kendal now has 2 teeth on the bottom, the second appeared Thanksgiving weekend. When she smiles she sticks her tounge to the roof of her mouth so you get a great view of her little teeth. I love that grin!
