Kendal’s Parrot Print This Post

Filed under: General — jen @ 5:14 pm

Last Friday, I noticed Kendal noticing the parrot on her bouncer for the first time. She has always enjoyed being in her bouncer and watching the lights, but Friday was the first time she ever seemed to notice the toys hanging from the toy bar. She was concentrating on it very hard, staring at it and purposefully batting at it and making it spin. Since Friday, she plays with her parrot every time she is in the bouncer for long streches of time.

She is definitely becoming more and more aware of her surroundings everyday and interacting more with us. It is so fun to watch, and even more fun to interact with her. She isn’t laughing just yet, but she is close because now when she smiles she is starting to make noises with her smiles.

The Elwells came by on Saturday to see Kendal and bring her a little gift. (Thank you for the book – Fancy Nancy – I am sure she will enjoy it!) Sondra and the girls – Emily & Sarah – stayed to hang out with us for a while and the girls enjoyed playing with the dogs.

Ashley & Mark’s Wedding June 8, 2008Print This Post

Last night we took Kendal to her first wedding – our friends Ashley & Mark. The wedding was at the Masion Jardin and it was beautiful. Many of our friends from PremiereTrade were at the wedding, so it was really good to see them all. Kendal was a very good girl, and she had a wonderful time dancing, jamin to the tunes and looking at all of the lights. We had a good time taking lots of pictures and video of the festivites.

Buca di Beppo June 7, 2008Print This Post

Last night we met Bevin, Jaclyn, Connor, Ronnie, Deborah, and Coby for dinner at Buca di Beppo.  That’s right, 9 of us total.  There were actually suppose to be 3 more, but the Murray’s ended up having to pack last night so they were unable to join us.  The food was great as usual, although they seemed to be having an AC problem, which made it hotter than we would have liked.  We had a great time however.  After dinner, we went to Winter Park village with the Wesley’s for some ice cream.  Kendal was once again very good at dinner and seemed to enjoy all the sights and sounds around her.  She is definitely getting more into “sponge” mode and is very interested in everything that goes on around her.

The Magnolia Moms June 6, 2008Print This Post

On Tuesday, Kendal & I had a big playdate! Our neighbor Jane & her daughter Eva (born 2/1/08) hosted a playdate at their house. She has been planning this lunch since we went to Winter Park several weeks ago. We had so much fun!

In total there were 8 Moms and babies. Jane & Eva, Lori & Morgan, Amy & Ava, Katie & Sophie, Megan & Delani, Ashley & Jack, Susan & Zak and Kendal & I. Whew – lots of babies. The babies range in age from 8 weeks to 6 months! We all decided to meet regularly and call our little group The Magnolia Moms since almost all of us live in Magnolia. (In fact, Lori and Morgan are the only non-Magnolia folks!)

Unfornately, every time I tried to take a picture of Morgan & Kendal one of them would start to cry! Some of the other pics were sent by Amy.

Shots again.. June 3, 2008Print This Post

We took Kendal for the second round of her 2-month shots on Monday.  It was a very quick visit with the nurse only.  Kendal had two more shots and one oral medication.  Fortunately she did much better this time.  She only cried for a minute after the shots, and then after that she was back to normal (we were both very relieved).
