Vote for Kendal’s CRAZY Hair! May 16, 2008Print This Post

Filed under: General — jen @ 4:13 pm

Disney and Johnson’s are running a photo contest for the baby with the Craziest hair. Personally, we think Kendal’s wild do makes her a shoe-in! Part of the contest is viewer’s choice, which means the top 3 babies with the most votes – so we need your votes. It looks like you can vote once a day! There are lots of cute babies, so Kendal needs your votes! Vote for Kendal!!! This is the picture we submitted for the contest.

Jen shot some photos of Kendal being cute in her and Jen’s favorite item, her rainforest bouncer (thanks Aunt Lindsay). She also shot a short video, so I decided to post it as well. You can even catch her giving the camera a quick smile toward the end of it.

Kendal’s Great-Grandfather Sam handmade Kendal a beautiful table and chairs for her nursery.  It arrived yesterday and I’m sure she will get many years of use from it.

My 1st Mother’s Day May 12, 2008Print This Post

We had a wonderful weekend at the beach, and I had a wonderful 1st Mother’s Day. Kendal & Bobby bought me beautiful Aquamarine stud earings – Aquamarine is Kendal’s birthstone. They also sent me flowers the week before Mother’s Day so I could enjoy them all week since we were going to be out of town. Lindsay & Bryan brought flowers for me to the beach house. All in all, I couldn’t have asked for a better Mother’s Day.

Jen has been working on Kendal sitting in her bumbo chair.  She is doing great with it, and her neck muscles are definetly getting strong.

Pass-a-Grille Beach Weekend May 11, 2008Print This Post

Filed under: General — bob @ 11:22 am

On Friday morning, we loaded up the car (which was full) and headed over to Pass-a-Grille to spend Mother’s Day weekend with Jack, Linda, Lindsay, and Bryan.

Friday we relaxed at the house and enjoyed dinner from Gennaro’s.  Saturday morning we all went to the Sea Horse for breakfast, and Kendal was a very good girl and enjoyed a nap outside.  That afternoon, Jack took Lindsay, Bryan, and myself on a fishing trip out in the Gulf (there was more boating than fishing :) ), while Jen, Kendal and Linda relaxed on the beach.  That night, Jen’s grandmother, aunt and cousin came over for dinner.

Jen and I headed back to Orlando after lunch on Sunday.  Kendal was fantastic in the car, and slept the entire way there and back.  We had a great weekend and were very glad to take Kendal on first of many trips to Pass-a-Grille.

Thanks Jack and Linda for a great weekend.

Kendal is is our little Drama Queen! She has recently discovered smiling, which is adorable. On the other hand she also now cries big ole corcodile tears when she wants to be held.

Don’t know when we will really get a picture of either since they come and go so quickly, but they are both cute!

Mommies and Babies Day Out Print This Post

Filed under: General — jen @ 7:17 pm

On Thursday Kendal and I met up with Lori & Morgan, Jane & Eva (who live a few houses down from us) and a friend of hers and her little girl. All of the girls were born mid January to mid March. We met at Panera on Park Ave and had lunch at BrandyWine. It was fun to get out and hang out with other Mommies. Kendal was a very good girl, but she got very hot.

Later that night Bobby & I went to Street of Dreams. Since my parents and Liny & Bry also went and Bobby’s parents were in NJ, we asked Lori & RJ if they could watch Kendal for a couple of hours. Poor Lori ended up watching both babies alone most of the night, but luckily she said they were both good! The houses at Street of Dreams were incredible and we are very thankful to the Murrays for watching Kendal so we could go! THANKS!

Jana, Jacy, and JillyAnne came by for a quick visit to meet Kendal and bring her a present.  Unfortunetly it was not very long, as Jen and I were on our way to the Street of Dreams event, but we were very glad to introduce them to their new cousin.
