Friday, my cousin Jarod graduated from the U.S. Naval Academy. Although we weren’t there, we wish Jarod all the best in his next adventure – Marine Flight School!

Sunday morning Kendal had her first photo session at Pete’s studio. She was such a good baby, and she let us pose her for tons of pictures. After a successful session, it was off to Cheesecake Factory for brunch and then home to meet Stefanie & George. Stef & George were in town for the weekend to see his family and they came by for a visit. Unfortuantly, Kendal was so tired from her busy morning she pretty much slept through the visit. Oh well.

Here is a link to more pictures from Kendal’s first photo session.

We didn’t do anything too exciting for Memorial Day, but it was nice to have Daddy home for the day!

2 Thumbs Up! Bobby & I saw Indiana Jones last night, and we loved it. They did a great job bringing back Indy. If you liked the others, you love the new one! We recomend it highly. Thanks to Jan & Pete for watching Kendal so we could see it and grab some dinner!

4 Year Anniversary May 22, 2008Print This Post

Today is Jen and my 4 year anniversary.  Hard to believe its already been that long, but its been a great 4 years.  Last night, Jack, Linda, Lindsay and Bryan came over for dinner and to watch the Idol finale.  Jack and Linda bought us the convertible car seat for Kendal for our anniversary- thank you both very much.  I was very excited to find that there is a company that makes collegiate replacement covers for the Britax Marathon car seats – ToddlerTeams.com. So of course, Kendal will will be riding in style (and safety) in her Gator car seat.

Tonight, my mom and dad are going to baby sit Kendal so Jen and I can go see the new Indiana Jones movie and have dinner.  Ever since I found out it was opening on our anniversary, I had been subtly hinting at going tonight.  Thanks Jen :) .

SHOTS!!! May 19, 2008Print This Post

Poor Kendal – today was her 2-month appointment and the first of her shots! Bobby and I decided we wanted to spread her shots out a bit and not use the traditional schedule. The doctor and nurses looked at us like we each had 2 heads wanting to spread them out, and they made us feel like “those crazy parents.” But in the end we stuck to our decision to spread out the shots. Instead of 5 shots and an oral vaccination, Kendal had 3 shots todya and she will have the other 2 with the oral in 2 weeks.

Kendal’s Stats – Kendal currently weights 12 lbs 10 oz and is 23.5 inches long. This puts her in the 95th and 97th percentile. The doctor says everything looks great, and she is hitting all of her milestones.

Check out the before and after shots photos… sad Baby!

Sleep? Print This Post

Filed under: General — jen @ 4:11 pm

The question everyone asks is, “Is she sleeping through the night yet?” While unfortuantly, the answer is no. She is doing pretty well and getting better. Most nights she goes about 3-4 hours between feedings and she usually goes right back down after eating. Every once in a while, Kendal goes 6 hours after the last feeding of the night before waking.

Last night, we had a record… 7 hours! And 6 of those hours were uninterupted sleep!!! 10:30 feeding, 11:30 asleep, wake to eat at 5:30 am! What a great night! We can’t wait til this is a habbit not just an occational night.

Weekend Update Print This Post

Kendal had her busiest weekend yet this past weekend. On Saturday we went shopping to Kohls and CVS. That night, we met Bevin, Jaclyn, and Connor for dinner at Bahama Breeze. This was Kendal’s first dinner out in a restaurant, so both Bevin and I were a bit worried about taking two infants out to dinner and being “those people” with the two screaming babies. Fortunately for us, Kendal and Connor were great, and Kendal slept though the entire dinner. It was a great time. They were super cute in their matching car seats!

On Sunday, we headed out early to meet Aunt Lindsay and Uncle Bryan for a little outlet shopping. Kendal was again very good and slept most of the time in her stroller. Sunday night, my mom brought over dinner and spent some time afterwards with Kendal. They kept me company as I put together Kendal’s ExerSaucer (thanks Aunt Sharon and Uncle John), which was the most complicated baby toy I have ever seen. There were more parts and screws that I would have thought, but eventually it did come together.

Its very hard to believe, but Kendal turned 8 weeks yesterday.  I’ve updated the “Watch Me Grow” page so you can see the changes she’s made already.  We’re having a great time with her, and both feel very lucky to have such a beautiful and sweet little girl.

Kendal is off to an early start as a Patriots fan.  She’ll also cheer for the Bucs (for mommy) but if the Patriots play the Bucs, all bets are off.
