Pants!
It is unseasonably cold today, so Miss Kendal got to wear pants for the first time today. Bobby and I think she looks like a little person in her pants!

For some reason, there have not been many pictures of the three of us, so I wanted to post a couple that my father took when they came over this past weekend.
Today was Kendal and my first day home without Daddy, and while we survived, we missed him! It was SO quite in the house – well, until Kendal started wailing!
Kendal gave Daddy a nice little send off this morning… Kendal has a habit of projectile pooping when her diaper is off. This morning, Daddy thought he would be nice and change her for me before he left. Kendal thought she would let him know what she thought about him leaving, and he got sprayed!
Grandma Mimi came over for a couple of hours today to let me do some laundry and take a nap, so she and Kendal had a nice visit.
After Mimi left, Kendal decided she had been spoiled by being held the whole time Mimi was here so she did not want to swing just be held some more. So, not much else got done!
When Daddy got home, we went for our first walk as a family. Kendal seemed to really enjoy her ride – it was her first stroller trip, and it rides very nicely. (Great-Grandma bought her the stroller – thanks Grandma.)
So, we were sad to send Daddy off to work today, but we did ok
Kendal has been losing her pacifier at times, which of course does not make her happy, so we ordered her a WubbaNub which arrived today. It is basically a small stuffed animal with a pacifier attached that “should” help keep it in place. Regardless, it looks cute.
An overdue thank you to Nick and Kristina Nanton who brought Jen and I dinner last week and some more great gifts from Kendal. Kristina had a very cute dress and burp cloth made for Kendal to wear on Gator game days. It is even sized to be ready for her when football season comes around. We were very excited to introduce them to Kendal, and we are sure that she will be great friends with both their sons, Brock and Bowen. Thank you again, we appreciate it all very much.
Our friends the Bitman’s had not been able to come over to meet Kendal as they had been getting over being sick. On Saturday night, Deborah, Ronnie and their son Coby brought over Pizza, salad and homemade pink rice crispy treats. We had a great dinner, and it was nice to introduce them to Kendal. Coby had recently gotten his own kitchen set, so I gave him a chef’s hat to wear when he cooks.
Now that her umbilical cord has come off, Kendal was able to get her first real bath. She definitely seemed to enjoy it more than the sponge baths, and did not cry near as much.
Jen and I took Kendal for her 2-week checkup this afternoon, and I’m happy to report she is a very healthy girl. She now weighs 8.7 lbs (up from 7.3 lbs at her first visit) and grew 0.5″ to 21″ in length. Both her weight and height put her in the 75th percentile, and her head size is in the 50th percentile. The doctor said she is nicely proportioned, and looks like she may be a tall girl.
