Mommy & Kendal’s First Outting April 29, 2008

After weeks of staying in the house for 5 weeks, Kendal and I had our first outting this week. Monday, Kendal and I met Lori & Morgan for lunch at Peach Valley Cafe. It was so nice to get back out into the land of adults! But man, is that car seat heavy!!! Lugging that thing around is not easy!

We ate outside and it was a beautiful day! Kendal was a good girl, she did wake up and fuss a bit while I was trying to eat. But she settled right down when Lori held her – I think she has the magic touch.

I also was able to get out last Friday when Bobby stayed home with Kendal so I could meet my parents to see Wicked. What a great show!

I think next week Kendal and I are going to meet up with some other Moms in Winter Park.

Kendal’s Birth Announcement

We are very happy with how Kendal’s announcements came out. If anyone is looking for any type of cards or announcements, we would definetly recommend where we got ours – http://www.paperlocket.com/. Wendy, the owner, is very quick with sending proofs, and it only took 3 days from proof to arriving at our door.

The wall letters finally arrive. April 25, 2008

The wall letters we ordered for Kendal finally showed up after 11 weeks.  We found a women on ebay who hand paints wall letters to match whatever you want.  We actually sent her some fabric samples so she could see the colors and patterns we had used.  They were only suppose to take 6-8 weeks, an although we had gotten impatient waiting on them, we couldn’t be happier with them.  They add a great touch to the nursery.

Happy 1 Month Kendal! April 21, 2008

Kendal is 1-month-old today! Where did the month go? This week Kendal’s new “trick” is making and holding eye contact. She just loves staring into Mommy’s eyes.

Mommy’s Milestone! April 19, 2008

Since I haven’t left the house since Kendal was born other than for doctor’s appointments, my Mom came over today to watch Kendal for 2 hours while Bobby and I went to see Mom and Dad’s house construction, go to Babies R Us, have lunch at Chipolte and shop at TJ Maxx for cute baby clothes!

It seemed to me that if I was going to leave the house, I should try to wear some of my “real” clothes. So, I tried on my jeans and low and behold, I can wear my jeans again. Oh how very exciting! Guess I get to pack up the maternity clothes soon!

Family Dinner

My family came over for dinner and to see Kendal on Wednesday. Auntie Liny got to feed Kendal and Uncle Bry even held Kendal for the first time.

Look at the cute little onesies from Bitt! The Strawberry one even has ruffles on the butt! And too apporpriately, Bitt got Kendal a bib that says “Baby’s First 4th of July!”
