The Jacket January 21, 2008
Last night, we went out to dinner for Jan’s birthday (happy birthday Grammy), and it was one of those rare cold days here in O-town. The high for the day was somewhere in the 50s and as we were leaving the house it was 49. So, it was time to pull out my peacoat.
A couple of months ago, I found a really good deal on a black, maternity, wool peacoat from Gap. Although I knew I wouldn’t wear it much, I figured it would be good to have when it was cold. Because my other choices of maternity jackets are a jean jacket and a black sweater.
Since we have the car in the garage, I didn’t bother putting on the coat – just tossed it on the seat to wear later.
After dinner, I put on my coat and was shocked and dismayed to find that my lovely maternity peacoat no longer buttoned over my tummy!!! I was bothered by this the whole way home. I am not that big, what a crock the stupid jacket doesn’t fit anymore. (It did a month ago, last time it was cold.) I was really worked up and upset!
When we got home, I took the jacket off and realized – this wasn’t my Gap Maternity Coat, this was my Ann Taylor coat. Bobby LAUGHED! I could have sworn I checked the label when I grabbed it…
I tried on my Gap coat, just for good measures, and I am happy to report – it still fits!

ha! Jen this is a great story. Get used to forgetting things, this jacket incident is only the beginning. Wait til you are running on a few days of no sleep…
=)
sounds like something I would do!! hehe
That is TOO funny, Jen!
The nursery looks great, glad to hear everything is going well.
Love,
Suz
