Great Weekend October 21, 2007
Jen and I spent the weekend with her parents, Lindsay and Bryan at her family’s beach house in Pass-a-grille (St. Pete Beach). We had the wedding of our friends Mike and Emily’s to attend on Saturday in Tampa. The wedding was nice, but happened to be during the Florida-Kentucky game. Bryan and I did spend part of the reception in the back seat of the car listening to the game, which I’m sure looked strange for anyone passing by. We did make it to a nearby Chili’s to catch the 4th quarter and see the Gators defeat Kentucky.
After the game, we headed to Ybor City (and added Jen’s Aunt Sharon and Uncle John to the group) as we had late dinner reservations at The Columbia. It is a Spanish estaurant that has been there since 1905. They have live flaminco dancing shows, as well as great food and drinks. It was definetly a fun evening and would recommend to anyone who has not been there.
On the way home we started to hear a beeping sound that sounded like a radar detector. After several minutes of beeping, we realized Jack had the pager they had given to us when we arrived at the restaurant to let us know our table was waiting still in his jacket pocket (woops). The beeping did eventually stop, and we all had a good laugh over it. It was a funny way to end the evening. Don’t worry, we will drop the pager in a mailbox to get it back to them
